From the knowledge base
Guides, training tips, and the science behind Run Briefing.
Questions?
We've got answers!
What is Run Briefing?
Run Briefing is a weekly email that summarizes your running activity, progress, and trends. It helps you understand your training at a glance — without opening an app or exporting data.
How is Run Briefing different from other running newsletters or apps?
Unlike generic fitness newsletters, Run Briefing is based entirely on your real activity data. It connects to your Garmin Connect account to create a fully personalized summary.
How often will I receive my Run Briefing newsletter?
You’ll receive one briefing at the end of your training week. You can adjust that day in your account settings.
What kind of data or insights are included in my briefing?
With every report, we compare the last training week with the previous one to show you the changes in your training. We also include insights about your average pace, distance, heart rate, and power.
Can I adjust my HR and Power zones?
Yes, you can adjust your HR and Power zones in your Garmin Connect account. We will automatically update your zones when syncing your next activity.
Which running apps or devices can I connect?
You can currently connect your Garmin account to sync activities automatically. Support for Coros, Suunto and Polar is in development. Due to API license restrictions, Strava is not supported.
What happens if my data doesn’t sync or appears incomplete?
If recent runs are missing, your Garmin connection may have expired or delayed syncing. Try reconnecting your Garmin account or wait a few minutes — data usually updates automatically.
Can I manually upload activities or workouts?
Manual uploads aren’t supported. All insights are generated from connected data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Does Run Briefing include non-running workouts?
Yes, we include all types of workouts, but focus foremost on running metrics.
How often is my data updated?
Your data is refreshed automatically as soon as the API of your connected device informs us about new activities. New activities typically are made available and processed within a few minutes of syncing your device.
